I am a BACP Accredited Person Centred counsellor in Chorley with over 10 years experience working with individuals age 16+ from a wide range of backgrounds, all presenting with varying levels of distress. Currently I provide counselling both in the NHS and private practice with past experience of working in the voluntary sector.
I am fully committed to my therapeutic work with clients and provide a non-judgemental confidential, safe environment where individuals are given the time space to explore their thoughts and feelings in order to make sense of their experience and process their emotions enabling them to move forward with their lives in a way that feels positive. There are many reasons clients seek counselling, please be assured that I have extensive experience in working with a wide range of issues including depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, stress, bereavement, anger, relationship problems, adjustment disorders, trauma and abuse.
I am proud to be a member of the Trust Board at Yewdale Counselling Services, a charitable organisation offering counselling to the local community. This is where I carried out my counselling placement and feel passionately about the organisation and the work that they do.
Having always had an interest in helping others, my previous jobs include working in the care sector and clinical research however being able to help others to help themselves is an incredibly rewarding experience and I feel very privileged to be a part of people’s journey through counselling.
